Blessed with an overwhelming power and speed edge over Smith on the feet, Petrino damaged his opponent early and then foolishly grabbed Smith along the fence and went for a slam. You want to give Petrino a bit of a pass considering he's still just 26 years of age and has all of a dozen pro bouts under his belt, but this mistake is going to make a potential run to the top that much more difficult.
