PLAYER RECOMMENDATIONS
GOALKEEPER
Jan-Michael Williams, TT v. HON ($4,500): The expensive goalkeepers are not exactly sure things. Mexico and USA are most likely going to win, but the price for Williams looks appetizing. Home teams generally have the upper hand in international matches, and this game may be tighter than the pricing indicates.
DEFENDER
Joevin Jones, TT v. HON ($5,600): Jones left Seattle early to join T&T camp, so he has had some time to breathe in his home country and get a few training sessions in before Friday. Countryman Kevin Molino, among other teammates, have called Jones the best player in Trinidad & Tobago, and he surely is. He is going to play in the German second division next season, and his teammates' comments should also boost his confidence. T&T lie at the basement of the Hex, and if they are going to have any chance of getting into fourth place, Jones will have to take the initiative to get forward.
Jorge Villafana, USA v. CRC ($5,500):Fabian Johnson is said to be set to start at left midfield, so that leaves Villafana to start at left-back. He has a brilliant left foot, and, like Jones, he should be considered as an elite defender option.
Eric Davis, PAN at MEX ($4,300): This is not the best matchup, but Davis takes a fair share of set pieces for Panama, and he comes at a bit of a discount due to the unfavorable opponent. It is not the safest play, but it is also not too much of a risk due to the price.
MIDFIELD
Christian Pulisic, USA v. CRC ($9,900): The golden boy is back in America for Friday's match against the Ticos. He has been lighting it up Borussia Dortmund, and his confidence is sky high. Fade Pulisic at your own peril.
Hirving Lozano, MEX v. PAN ($9,600): Like Pulisic, Lozano is a young player playing in Europe. He has scored three goals in his first three games for PSV Eindhoven, which is a spectacular start to his career in the Netherlands. Lozano is sure to start as a winger in the Mexico starting XI, and he is likely to show that he was the one that El Tri was missing in the Gold Cup.
David Guzman, CRC v. USA ($3,300): DraftKings really gave us a discount for Guzman in Friday's slate. He takes free kicks for the Ticos, and he is likely to take a shot or two in the game. USA is the clear favorite, but that doesn't mean that Costa Rican players can't produce fantasy points.
FORWARD
Clint Dempsey, USA v. CRC ($10,200): Dempsey has somehow turned into a fringe player in the past few years, but he is well aware of that is the type of player who loves to prove people wrong when he feels disrespected. It is not a sure thing that he starts, but if he does, just know that you're getting Deuce with a chip on his shoulder.
Bobby Wood, USA v. CRC ($8,200): Wood is likely to start for the Americans due to his fine form for his club Hamburger SV. He has scored two goals in the first three games of this season, so he clearly is a hot striker coming into camp.
Darlington Nagbe, USA v. CRC ($5,400): Nagbe is another player who is essential to the success of the team. He is fairly cheap, so you can get exposure to an attacking player from the top favorite for a small price. He makes for a great way to complete a USA stack, or pivot from one of the top options in order to fit players on other teams.
