PLAYER RECOMMENDATIONS

GOALKEEPER

Claudio Bravo, MCI v. BUR ($5,900): Collecting two clean sheets in his last four, Bravo and City pick up possibly the most favorable matchup, even with Andre Gray's hat trick on New Year's Eve casting some slight doubt. Nonetheless, City are massive favorites at their home ground, and the win and clean sheet probabilities make Bravo the chalk pick.

Joel Robles, EVE v. SOU ($5,000): As Southampton continue to have the worst shots-on-goal-per-goal ratio in the league, I will keep picking on them with opposing keepers. Last time out against Hull was a slight disappointment, but in what will be his third consecutive start, Robles' performances will hopefully improve. His clean sheet against Leicester that included an incredibly rare goalie assist on Boxing Day showcases his upside.

DEFENDER

James Milner, LIV at SUN ($7,500): Milner has scored double-digit fantasy points in nine consecutive matches, and traveling to face a relegation embattled Sunderland will do little to put an end to the streak. Milner's combination of defensive stats, crosses (partially due to his corner-taking duties) and upside via his role on penalties make him a safe cash-game option even at the inflated price.

Craig Dawson, WBA v. HUL ($4,900): After a tough run of matches against Chelsea, Manchester United, Arsenal and Southampton, West Brom get a decidedly easier spot against relegation favorites Hull. Prior to the Chelsea game, Dawson had at least one shot and four crosses in four consecutive matches.

Javier Manquillo, SUN v. LIV ($3,700): Manquillo, after passing fit Saturday but being relegated to the bench, looks likely to get his first Premier League start since October. He's never showcased much upside, but a starting fullback for less than $4,000 is nothing to scoff at.

MIDFIELDER

Dusan Tadic, SOU at EVE ($6,800): After a successful return to the starting lineup Friday, look for Tadic to steadily be fed more minutes. Against Albion, he collected an assist on top of two shots and 11 crosses in just 74 minutes. Traveling to Everton is undoubtedly a tougher matchup, but his peripheral stat capabilities still make him an attractive option at this price.

Matt Phillips, WBA v. HUL ($6,300): Coming off one of his best games of the year (one goal, one assist, three shots and three crosses against Southampton), Phillips comes into this favorable spot in great form. He's now up to four goals and six assists on the season, a great total on what is a fairly mediocre team.

Kevin Mirallas, EVE v. SOU ($6,200): Despite no goal contributions last time out, Mirallas loaded up the stat sheet, finishing with six shots (three on target), seven crosses and three fouls drawn for 19 fantasy points. Add in the fact that he scored a goal against Leicester two games ago, and Mirallas appears a dynamic cash staple assuming he gets the start.

FORWARD

Sergio Aguero, MCI v. BUR ($9,200): December will be a month to forget for the Argentinian, but now in a new year expect the return of the old Aguero. His first match back since suspension didn't lead to very favorable results, but he's still managed 10 goals in 12 matches over the first half of the season. Burnley at home is just about as good as it gets in terms of matchup.

Daniel Sturridge, LIV at SUN ($7,300): It could be a little bit of a stretch to expect Sturridge to start, but after scoring off the bench in Liverpool's match two games ago and a number of health concerns during the busy holiday season, Klopp will be tempted to give Sturridge his first league start since October. Liverpool exposure is the main goal here, and for decidedly less than the likes of Sadio Mane and Roberto Firmino, Sturridge is a cheaper way into some potential goal equity.

Salomon Rondon, WBA v. HUL ($6,900): After playing 18 minutes off the bench Saturday, expect Rondon to be back in the starting lineup Monday against Hull. The goal dependency disqualifies him from cash game consideration, but his hat trick against Swansea in mid-December shows his upside.
