PLAYER RECOMMENDATIONS

GOALKEEPER

Kasper Schmeichel, LEI at MUN ($5,500) and Jonas Lossl, HUD v. SOU ($4,500): Both keepers are in good spots because of the volume of shots they will likely face. Man United have forced the most shots on goal among teams on the slate while Southampton were in the top five of shots on goal for most of last season. If you're going the clean sheet route, my first choice would likely be David de Gea ($4,500).

DEFENDER

Harry Maguire, LEI at MUN ($7,500): The most expensive defender on the slate, Maguire has been rock solid both in attack (one goal and one assist in two matches). and with all due respect to the body formerly known as Wes Morgan, the leader in defense. Leicester are the biggest underdogs on the slate and Man United have a history of allowing big numbers to defensive players.

Patrick van Aanholt, CRY at SWA ($6,000): Scoring over 20 fantasy points in each of the first two matches, van Aanholt looks be taking advantage of his new wing-back position. The scouting report has long been that he is above average going forward but not committed to the defensive side, an issue for a left-back, but he can get away with it a bit more as a wing-back. Against Swansea he should have no problem going forward.

Other cheaper options include whomever starts in Jose Holebas' position, Arthur Masuaku and Chris Lowe. Also, most teams had midweek matches, so check lineups for rotation.

MIDFIELDER

Paul Pogba, MUN v. LEI ($12,000) or Henrikh Mkhitaryan, MUN v. LEI ($10,500): For the biggest favorite and highest implied total, Man United really only have two playable midfielders. Pogba is $1,500 more but likely has a higher floor and upside. Mkhitaryan's points this year have basically come from four assists and not much else, whereas Pogba has mixed in goals and assists along with other peripherals. You can go both, but it will be tough to fit in the big Belgian up top.

Michael Antonio, WHU at NEW ($8,500): Last week we saw the return of the most dangerous head in the Premier League. Antonio scored 24 fantasy points without a goal or assist, and he was unafraid to put shots on goal. This week's matchup is definitely easier and his price right around Dusan Tadic and Juan Mata could see slightly lower ownership. If Manuel Lanzini finally makes it back to the lineup, he makes an interesting play as well.

Cheaper options include James Ward-Prowse, Wilfred Ndidi and Tom Carroll.

FORWARD

Romelu Lukaku, MUN v. LEI ($12,000): This one is obvious. The debate on Lukaku isn't on merit but on how to handle his ownership. On this week's DFS podcast, Jordan Cooper mentioned potentially 70 percent ownership, which might be slightly higher on FanDuel and certainly close to 100 percent in head-to-heads and double-ups. At that ownership and price, Lukaku not scoring would be a bust if other forwards have decent days. That being said, he is the most likely player to score multiple goals. Anthony Martial and Marcus Rashford are other Man United forward options and both have played well. Pairing them with Lukaku is not a bad way to go.

Christian Benteke, CRY v. SWA ($7,500): Swansea have allowed the second-most crosses this season and Benteke is a one dimensional player who feeds off crosses. If he doesn't score he is likely to put up very few fantasy points, but Swansea gave up the most goals to forwards last year and haven't looked much different this year.

Other options include Manolo Gabbiadini, Tammy Abraham and Jamie Vardy on the counter.
