2:45 p.m: Barcelona v. Roma
2:45 p.m: Liverpool v. Manchester City
FORWARDS
Lionel Messi, BAR v. ROM ($13,500): Just like when Cristiano Ronaldo in on a slate, Messi should be the first lock, no matter the price. Do you really want to put down cash against Messi?
Roberto Firmino, LIV v. MCI ($11,000): Firmino is a bit pricier than midfielders Sadio Mane and Mohamed Salah, which doesn't make sense, but it is because he fits the FanDuel scoring system very well. He is sure to have a shot on goal, and several other chances to score, so if you do not decide to go with the Barca stack at forward, then Firmino should be the man for your lineup.
Luis Suarez, BAR v. ROM ($10,500): I would recommend Suarez over Firmino due to him being in a softer spot against AS Roma, who are heavy underdogs against the Catalan side. Suarez is not satisfied unless he scores, so expect him to fight until he reaches satisfaction Wednesday.
MIDFIELDERS
Mohamed Salah, LIV v. MCI ($10,500): Man, this dude is somehow too cheap for this slate. It is rare when he doesn't score a goal, so he is almost a must at the midfield position due to the lack of sure plays.
Kevin De Bruyne, MCI at LIV ($10,500): De Bruyne is an interesting option, as he is on the road but still fully capable of a blowup game. He will be over almost all set piece opportunities for Manchester City, while tracking back on defense, and if he adds a goal or an assist he will surely surpass his value. He should be viewed as more of a last piece option, but if you can afford him he will likely make you proud.
Sadio Mane, LIV v. MCI ($9,000): Salah's partner in crime comes at a cheaper price, but he needs to score in order to meet value. That being said, he has scored six times in his last seven games.
DEFENDERS
Virgil van Dijk, LIV v. MCI ($6,000): van Dijk is simply the best defender on this slate due to his defensive output. In his only UCL outing this season, he posted 22.5 points, which is a proper indication of his potential. The addition of the Dutchman during the winter transfer window has paid dividends, for Liverpool's main weakness in the first half of the season was in defense.
Trent Alexander-Arnold, LIV v. MCI ($5,000): Alexander-Arnold provides a bargain at the fullback position at just $5,000. He is an attack-minded defender who is involved on set pieces on occasions, and at home, he will certainly be commanded to get forward.
Samuel Umtiti, BAR v. ROM ($5,000): Umtiti has recently been touted as one of the top defensive prospects in the world, and it should show Wednesday. His 14.7-point average indicates solid production at the defender position, which, in all honesty, is an ugly position on this slate.
GOALKEEPER
Marc-Andre ter Stegen, BAR v. ROM ($5,500): ter Stegen is the obvious option at goalkeeperWednesday. Barca are favored with a (-475) line, which is much higher than the next favorite on the slate, Manchester City, who are in a pick 'em against Liverpool. ter Stegen is regarded as one of the top keepers in the world, so his spot at the position should be cemented.
