Yahoo DFS Soccer: Tuesday UCL Picks

MATCHES (EST)

FORWARDS

Memphis Depay, LYN v. RBL (€26): Depay and Lyon go through with a win. Considering he's scored in all four UCL appearances this season, and five of his last six across all competitions, it would be tough to rebel against the form Memphis is in coming into this one.

Tammy Abraham, CHE v. LIL (€25): Abraham should be wide-eyed in front of goal with Chelsea a win away from a spot in the round of 16. He found the net in the first meeting with Lille, and with the best anytime goal-scorer odds of any player on the slate, it would be goofy not to consider Chelsea's leading scorer.

Willian, CHE v. LIL (€20): Willian comes at a decent discount compared to Abraham, and he's not near as goal dependent as his Chelsea cohort. He can scatter points across multiple categories if he gets going, and with the Blues desperate for a win, he could turn up with a righteous point haul Tuesday.

MIDFIELDERS

Hakim Ziyech, AJA v. VAL (€27): Ziyech is averaging 12 fantasy points per game and, with Ajax needing at least a draw to advance to the knockout round, we can expect him to continue to be the chief creator going forward. He's been brilliant thus far and -- with a spot in the round of 16 up for grabs -- there's little reason to hesitate in finding room for him in your lineup.

Christian Pulisic, CHE v. LIL (€19): Pulisic hasn't scored or assisted in any of his last three games, but I won't apologize for including him in this spot once again. He's emerged as a key ingredient in Chelsea's attack, and with the Blues in need of a big result, both Pulisic and Mason Mount (€17) come in at good salaries given what's at stake.

Thorgan Hazard, BVB v. SLP (€10): Hazard has done little to instill confidence in Champions League play, averaging a lowly 1.4 fantasy points per game across four UCL appearances this season. However, he's rounding into form with two goals and an assist in his last two Bundesliga outings. With Dortmund desperate for a win, it would be neglect to dismiss Hazard at bare minimum price.

DEFENDERS

Nicolas Tagliafico, AJA v. VAL (€19): Tagliafico has proven capable of filling up the stat sheet on numerous occasions, and in a do-or-die matchup he's in a good spot to turn in another good performance. A quick download of his game log from Ajax's UCL opener shows a spicy 28-point effort thanks to a goal, an assist and a clean sheet, highlighting his ability to separate your team from the pack if he hits his ceiling.

Achraf Hakimi, BVB v. SLP (€15): Through five games of group play action, Hakimi has scored more goals than Lionel Messi, Cristiano Ronaldo and Mohamed Salah, among others. Two of his four goals came in a 26-point effort against Tuesday's opponent Slavia Prague, making him an alluring play with Dortmund in a must-win scenario.

Kurt Zouma, CHE v. LIL (€12): Zouma gives us a near min-price defender on the team with the best clean sheet odds. Clean sheet points aside, he's averaged 7.75 fantasy points per game over his last six outings, in large part because of his ability to rack up passes and defensive points across the board.

GOALKEEPER

Kepa Arrizabalaga, CHE v. LIL (€17): It's quite simple for Chelsea: win and they're through to the round of 16. While it's been a month since Kepa posted a clean sheet, it would be surprising to see the Blues spill an opportunity this big at home against an Lille side that's scored just three goals in five UCL games.
