Reese spent two seasons at Maryland to begin her college career but transferred to LSU ahead of the 2022-23 season and helped lead the Tigers to a national championship during her first year with the program. The forward was consistently dominant wherever she played, averaging double-doubles in three of her four collegiate seasons. Over her career with the Terrapins and Tigers, she averaged 18.6 points and 12.3 rebounds in 28.5 minutes per game. Reese was selected by Chicago with the No. 7 pick in the 2024 WNBA Draft and will join another rookie frontcourt star in Kamilla Cardoso, who was drafted third overall. The Sky have veterans Elizabeth Williams and Isabelle Harrison returning to the team in 2024, and they also added Diamond DeShields, Michaela Onyenwere and Brianna Turner during the offseason. While Reese showcased plenty of potential in college, it's unclear exactly what role she'll be able to carve out to begin her WNBA career. Reese popped up on the Sky's initial injury report for Sunday's game against the Wings as questionable due to a wrist injury, but the rookie standout personally announced Saturday night that her first WNBA season was over. The Sky have only six games left, but it's a significant blow to fantasy managers pushing for a championship. With Reese sidelined, Kamilla Cardoso could have more rebound opportunities while Isabelle Harrison, Diamond DeShields and Brianna Turner could see more minutes. Reese's final stat line reads 13.6 points, 13.1 rebounds, 1.9 assists and 1.8 combined steals-plus-blocks across 32.5 minutes per game.
