2024 Fantasy Outlook
After not appearing in a WNBA game in 2022, Clarendon returned to the Sparks in 2023 and flirted with a career-high campaign, averaging 11.1 points, 3.4 assists, 3.0 rebounds and 1.1 steals in 28.6 minutes per game across 24 appearances. Her efficiency stood out for a Los Angeles squad that struggled to stay competitive, posting elite 49.7/45.7/91.5 shooting splits. She was rewarded with a multi-year contract, and even though the Sparks have the second overall pick in this year's draft, it wouldn't be surprising to see Clarendon retain a starting role, especially since Nneka Ogwumike signed with the Storm ahead of the 2024 season. September 14, 2024
Clarendon (personal) is out for Sunday's game against the Storm, Rey Rey of The Sporting Tribune reports.
ANALYSIS
Clarendon is not expected back any time soon, and it wouldn't be far-fetched to imagine that she won't suit up for the Sparks in the final two games of the campaign after Sunday's contest. Clarendon hasn't played since Aug. 15.

Past Fantasy Outlooks
2023
2022
Clarendon wasn't on a roster during the 2022 season, but she's landed in a decent spot in Los Angeles; a team that recently released Chennedy Carter. With Katie Lou Samuelson presumably out for the season after announcing her pregnancy and Jasmine Thomas coming off an ACL tear, there should be some backcourt minutes to be had. Clarendon has proven in the past she can be an elite distributor, averaging 8.8 assists per 40 minutes in 2021 to rank in the 99th percentile in the league. She also shot efficiently from the field during that season (51.7 percent), ranking in the 90th percentile in the league. Even so, Clarendon is bound for a camp battle for a roster spot and likely won't log enough minutes to be a major factor in most fantasy formats.
The Liberty released Clarendon early in the 2021 campaign, but she quickly found a new home in Minnesota. After serving exclusively as a starter in New York in 2020, she started in 20 of their 21 appearances with the Lynx and averaged 10.4 points, 3.1 rebounds and 5.7 assists in 25.7 minutes per game. Clarendon put up these marks while shooting a career-high 51.7 percent from the floor across their 21 games with Minnesota. She's in line for a starting role to begin the 2022 campaign, but Clarendon's health has been a concern in recent years, as they've missed time due to injuries in each of the last three seasons. Nevertheless, Clarendon displayed some consistency while on the court in 2021, and it was encouraging that they averaged double-digit points for the fourth time in her career. However, her health concerns mean that it's likely best not to rely on Clarendon as a fantasy starter heading into the season.
