FanDuel MLB: Monday Value Plays

This article is part of our FanDuel MLB series.

Pitcher

Carlos Carrasco, CLE vs DET ($9,900) – Carrasco has been locked in over his past three starts, recording 25 strikeouts while allowing just two runs. The matchup is in his favor as well as the Tigers have been feeble against righties since the departure of Justin Upton.

Catcher

Chris Iannetta, AZ vs COL ($2,500) – With a lefty on the mound, there's a good chance that Iannetta will be in the two-hole. At his current salary, Iannetta has all the upside he needs by batting near the top of an order that should produce at a high level tonight. If you need any more reason to take him, consider his .404 wOBA against lefties this season.

First Base

Paul Goldschmidt, AZ vs COL ($4,200) – With Kyle Freeland on the mound for the Rockies, the Diamondbacks are certainly a stacking option on this slate. Freeland enters with a decent 3.99 ERA, but he's been very ineffective over his past three starts in allowing 10 runs over 13.1 innings. Goldschmidt missed most of last week with an elbow injury, but in his second game back he went deep, so it looks like there will be no hangover from the extended layoff. Goldschmidt enters with a .414 wOBA against lefties this season, which is tops on the Diamondbacks.

Second Base

Jose Ramirez, CLE vs DET ($3,900)Myles Jaye has fared well in two relief appearances, but that doesn't mean he'll succeed in his first starting opportunity. As such, I'll target guys like Ramirez, who enters with a .384 wOBA against righties this season.

Shortstop

Elvis Andrus, TEX vs SEA ($3,900)Ariel Miranda has shown flashes of brilliance this season, but he's also been really bad in spots as well. The problem is, you never know which Miranda will show up, which makes it difficult to stack against him. With that in mind, I wouldn't stack against him tonight, but I would grab one or two Rangers, just in case the bad Miranda shows up. Andrus hits in the heart of the order and has hit lefties pretty well this season (.359 wOBA).

Third Base

Josh Donaldson, TOR vs BAL ($3,700) – Donaldson should be back in the lineup after missing three games with an illness. Donaldson enters with a .384 wOBA against righties this season, which is tops on the Blue Jays.

Outfield

Lonnie Chisenhall, CLE vs DET ($2,900) – Chisenhall hasn't hit the ball very well since returning from the DL, but he still has strong season-long numbers against righties and he's under $3k, so the risk here is minimal.

Ezequiel Carrera, TOR vs BAL ($2,200)Ubaldo Jimenez is back to his old form, which means that it might be wise to grab more than one Blue Jay hitter. Unlike the Indians, the Blue Jays will be easier to stack because of their prices. Carrera hasn't hit well over the past month, but he's cheap and he has good numbers against righties this season with a .365 wOBA.

Aaron Judge, NYY at TB ($4,100) – Remember when Judge was in such a rut that he was benched for multiple games? Well, he's not in that rut anymore, as evidence by four home runs in his past six games. He's got a nice matchup against a struggling Jake Odorizzi, who enters with a 4.58 ERA this season. Judge enters with a .419 wOBA against righties, which is top-10 in the majors.
