PITCHER
Yu Darvish, LAD vs. CHW ($26,400): There are two pitchers who stand above the rest on this slate and Darvish is one of them. He has been very impressive since his trade to the Dodgers, recording 20 strikeouts and allowing just two runs in 12 innings. The matchup against the White Sox works, as they enter with the third-lowest wOBA against righties this season and the eighth-highest K%.
Cole Hamels, TEX vs. DET ($17,600): Hamels hasn't been the most reliable pitcher this season, but it's that inconsistency that has driven his price down. However, he was extremely sharp over his past two starts, allowing zero runs over 16 innings; the only downside is that he only had five strikeouts in each game. The matchup against Detroit isn't great, as the Tigers have hit lefties very well this season, but a lot of that was due to J.D. Martinez in the lineup.
INFIELD
Adrian Beltre, TEX vs. DET ($9,600):Anibal Sanchez has been one of the more reliably bad starters in the majors this season and I see no reason why he'll suddenly improve against the Rangers. He enters with a 6.69 ERA, which makes him a stack target while the Rangers have plenty of bats to help. Since his return from injury earlier this year, Beltre has been the most reliable bat in the Rangers' lineup, and he comes in with a .369 wOBA against righties.
Anthony Rizzo, CHC vs. CIN ($8,800): Reds starter Homer Bailey has yet to recover from a brutal start to his season, which saw him surrender at least eight runs in two of his first four starts. Rizzo's production has dropped from last year, but he's still more productive than the average hitter, entering with a .364 wOBA against righties.
Mark Reynolds, COL vs. ATL ($8,400): It seems like Reynolds has been in a slump for quite a while, but he still has a wOBA against righties in the top-30 in the majors. He'll face righty Mike Foltynewicz, who enters with a decent 4.23 ERA but has allowed at least five runs in two of his past three starts.
OUTFIELD
Joey Gallo, TEX vs. DET ($9,000): Gallo was having a terrible season as of last month, averaging about one home run per week and doing little else. While his batting average is still terrible and his ability to do anything besides hit home runs is lacking, his home run rate has improved quite a bit. Gallo has a great matchup against Sanchez and the odds of a home run are actually pretty decent. Additionally, he has a .368 wOBA against righties this season, which trails only Beltre among Rangers hitters.
Kris Bryant, CHC vs. CIN ($10,200): Bryant has been on a roll lately, posting multi-hit efforts in six of his last eight games, and his team-high .393 wOBA against righties makes him a great option against Homer Bailey, whose struggles were discussed earlier.
Aaron Hicks, NYY vs. NYM ($9,200): I was hoping to get Hicks at a cheaper price, but his quick start off the DL has kept it relatively high. With that said, his matchup against Robert Gsellman justifies paying a premium, as Hicks has a .373 wOBA against righties this season, which is second on the Yankees. Meanwhile, Gsellman enters with a 6.16 ERA after allowing 17 runs over his past three starts.
UTILITY
Zack Cozart, CIN at CHC ($8,000): Cozart just doesn't get the respect he deserves. He's averaging 9.40 fantasy points per game on the season, yet he's priced with guys who are well below him in terms of production. Cozart has been fantastic against lefties this season, but he's been good against righties as well and he's 7-for-18 lifetime against John Lackey.
Josh Donaldson, TOR vs. TB ($9,300): Donaldson is locked in right now, with eight home runs in his past 14 games, including one in each of the last three. He also leads the Blue Jays in wOBA against righties this season at .378. Upon first glance, the matchup against Jacob Faria doesn't appear to favor Donaldson as Faria sports a 3.19 ERA, but he has allowed 16 runs in his past 28.1 innings.
