Ben Sinnott

22-Year-Old Tight EndTE
Washington Commanders
2024 Fantasy Outlook
Sinnott was the second tight end selected in the 2024 NFL Draft, going 53rd overall to Washington, where he will have the opportunity to carve out a prominent role from the get-go alongside rookie second overall pick Jayden Daniels. Logan Thomas is a free agent after leading all Commanders tight ends with 496 receiving yards last season, though Washington brought in 33-year-old Zach Ertz as part of the effort to replace Thomas. Given that Ertz had only 187 receiving yards in seven games with the Cardinals last season before suffering a quadriceps injury, it's probably just a matter of time until Sinnott finds himself atop the depth chart. The 6-foot-4, 250-pound tight end caught 49 passes for 676 yards and six touchdowns at Kansas State in 2023, showing impressive run-after-the-catch ability and good speed (4.68) for a player that started his college career as a fullback. Sinnott failed to record a single target in Sunday's 21-18 win over the Giants.
ANALYSIS
Through two weeks, Sinnott has seen the field for just 26 offensive snaps and has not been targeted in the passing game in either contest. The rookie tight end continues to play behind veterans Zach Ertz and John Bates, and he'll likely find it difficult to see consistent playing time in Washington's offense in the early part of the 2024 campaign. Sinnott will look to continue his development in a limited role when the Commanders visit the Bengals in Week 3.

Outlook bright under Kingsbury
TEWashington Commanders
May 9, 2024
Sinnott, who the Commanders selected out of Kansas State in the second round of the 2024 NFL Draft, should have a robust rookie role despite the presence of veteran Zach Ertz, John Keim of ESPN.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Sinnott showed off his pass-catching chops over his last two seasons with the Wildcats, compiling 80 receptions for 1,123 yards and 10 touchdowns across 26 games in that span. Ertz is certainly an accomplished receiver in his own right who has experience playing under new Commanders offensive coordinator Kliff Kingsbury during their mutual time in Arizona; however, Keim points out the Cardinals ran the seventh-most plays in the league with two tight ends over the last three seasons of his tenure as head coach.
