2024 Fantasy Outlook
Sinnott was the second tight end selected in the 2024 NFL Draft, going 53rd overall to Washington, where he will have the opportunity to carve out a prominent role from the get-go alongside rookie second overall pick Jayden Daniels. Logan Thomas is a free agent after leading all Commanders tight ends with 496 receiving yards last season, though Washington brought in 33-year-old Zach Ertz as part of the effort to replace Thomas. Given that Ertz had only 187 receiving yards in seven games with the Cardinals last season before suffering a quadriceps injury, it's probably just a matter of time until Sinnott finds himself atop the depth chart. The 6-foot-4, 250-pound tight end caught 49 passes for 676 yards and six touchdowns at Kansas State in 2023, showing impressive run-after-the-catch ability and good speed (4.68) for a player that started his college career as a fullback. Through two weeks, Sinnott has seen the field for just 26 offensive snaps and has not been targeted in the passing game in either contest. The rookie tight end continues to play behind veterans Zach Ertz and John Bates, and he'll likely find it difficult to see consistent playing time in Washington's offense in the early part of the 2024 campaign. Sinnott will look to continue his development in a limited role when the Commanders visit the Bengals in Week 3.
