2024 Fantasy Outlook
A 2022 UDFA, Alford is working as the Falcons' top slot CB in 2024 with Mike Hughes moving outside. Alford also has punt-return experience but likely wouldn't be a primary return man if he's operating as a starter on defense. Read Past Outlooks
Operates as slot CB
Alford mustered two tackles (one solo) during Sunday's 18-10 loss to the Steelers.
ANALYSIS
With Mike Hughes moving outside, Alford has stepped up as the Falcons' starting slot CB in 2024. Alford played 31 defensive snaps in Week 1, which isn't enough to generate IDP value. The Steelers don't run many three-wideout sets anymore, so Alford may see more snaps when Atlanta faces a more pass-happy team.

2023 Fantasy Outlook
A 2019 undrafted product out of Tusculum, Alford finally got an NFL opportunity in 2022 and made the most of it by carving out a rotational role following multiple injuries to Atlanta's secondary. He recorded 25 tackles, seven pass defenses, one interception and 0.5 sacks in 16 appearances (238 defensive snaps), but Alford will be competing for a roster spot again after the Falcons added numerous talented players to its CB corps this offseason.

ANALYSIS
Alford has impressed the coaching staff and appears to be running ahead of Hughes, who signed with the Falcons in free agency after being part of a porous Lions secondary in 2022. Atlanta's coaching staff has praised Alford's progress, and the former CFL player is poised for a bigger role after racking up 25 tackles, one interception and seven passes defensed as a reserve for the Falcons in his first NFL campaign last year.
