2024 Fantasy Outlook
Still considered one of the best cover corners in the NFL, Terrell finished 2023 with 45 tackles and 11 pass defenses in 17 appearances. However, he's struggled to generate turnovers, totaling only one fumble recovery over the past two seasons after posting four interceptions and four forced fumbles across his first two campaigns. Terrell's worth to the franchise was displayed when he inked a four-year, $81 million extension at the end of training camp. Read Past Outlooks

Inks four-year extension
Terrell agreed Thursday with the Falcons on a four-year, $81 million contract extension, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports.
ANALYSIS
The deal includes $65.8 million guaranteed and makes Terrell the second-highest paid cornerback on an annual basis at $20.25 million, trailing only the Packers' Jaire Alexander, per Marc Raimondi of ESPN.com. Terrell, whom the Falcons took 16th overall in the 2020 NFL Draft, was a second-team All-Pro selection in 2021, when he recorded career highs in tackles (81), pass breakups (16) and interceptions (three). He hasn't recorded an interception over the last two seasons, but he's still amassed 20 pass breakups during that span.

2020
Terrell has been an above average cornerback since the Falcons drafted him in the first round in 2020, totaling 202 tackles, 32 pass defenses, four interceptions, four forced fumbles and one fumble recovery in three seasons. The fifth-year option on his rookie deal was exercised this offseason, so he's under contract through 2024 and figures to remain Atlanta's top CB for at least the next two campaigns. His production dropped in 2022, but with the addition of safety Jessie Bates, the Falcons secondary has improved on paper, which may help Terrell bounce back in 2023.

Latest Fantasy Rumors
Second contract likely with ATL
The Falcons are expected to sign Terrell to a second contract, Josh Kendall of The Athletic reports.
ANALYSIS
Terrell will play out the 2024 season on the fifth year of his rookie contract, setting him up to hit free agency at the close of the campaign. Kendall suggests that a deal will get done to extend the cornerback's time in Atlanta, though the sticking point could be the value of the contract. Terrell is likely to try to get something close to the top of the market at his position, which is currently around $21 million per year. That's a price that Atlanta may not be willing to meet due to his inconsistency.
