During his first year with the Bears, Walker posted just 3.5 sacks. The pass rusher was coming off a breakout season with Tennessee in 2022 with 7.0 sacks. However, last year after the Week 13 bye, Walker recorded a partial sack in all but one game. That success likely had to do with Montez Sweat becoming a focal point of opposing offenses. Walker was a second-round draft pick of the Broncos in 2017 and played four seasons with them. Now that the Bears signed him in free agency, Walker is with his fourth team in the last four years. However, after failing to reach five sacks in any of his first five seasons, the 28 year old notched a career-high seven sacks with the Titans last year. The Bears expect him to start at defensive end, playing opposite Yannick Ngakoue in the hopes of boosting what was an anemic pass rush in 2022.
