2024 Fantasy Outlook
Lloyd appeared to struggle with the pace of the pro game in his rookie season, as he suffered both in coverage and with a very high rate of missed tackles. Whatever adjustments he made heading into 2023 paid dividends, as he turned into an elite run defender and improved both in coverage and tackling enough to stay on the field consistently in his sophomore campaign. He should team up with Foye Oluokun to make an elite duo in the middle of the Jaguars' defense in 2024. Read Past Outlooks
Bright spot in loss
Lloyd recorded eight tackles (five solo), two passes defensed and a forced fumble during Sunday's 18-13 loss versus the Browns.
ANALYSIS
Lloyd managed a nice showing in what was otherwise a dismal day for Jacksonville. He trailed Foye Oluokun in snaps again in Week 2, but he's producing enough with the work he's being given thus far to warrant IDP consideration in Week 3 at Buffalo.

2023 Fantasy Outlook
Lloyd was drafted 27th overall by the Jaguars last year and enjoyed a productive rookie campaign with 115 tackles (59 solo), eight passes defensed, three interceptions and two fumble recoveries. The 24-year-old filled an every-down role early on but saw his playing time drop a bit down the stretch, though Jacksonville is likely looking for him to fill a three-down role in 2023. Lloyd could be a solid IDP option if he sees similar or an increase in playing time, though the fact he's playing next to Foye Oluokun -- who led the NFL in tackles last year -- could limit his ceiling.

Breakout possible in '24
Bucky Brooks of NFL.com labels Lloyd as a potential breakout candidate on the defensive side of the ball in 2024.
ANALYSIS
It's not as if the 2022 first-round pick has been unproductive in his first two seasons -- Lloyd has accumulated 242 tackles, 15 defensed passes, three interceptions and four fumble recoveries in 32 regular-season games. However, Brooks foresees even better production for Lloyd under new defensive coordinator Ryan Nielsen, who could move the third-year pro back into a SAM linebacker role that will allow him to leverage his instincts, awareness and pass-rushing ability.
