2024 Fantasy Outlook
Witherspoon lived up to his billing as the fifth overall pick in the 2023 NFL Draft regardless of measure. He was on the field for 100 percent of defensive snaps from Week 1 and broke up at least one pass in 11 of his 14 games all while holding opposing quarterbacks to a modest 87.6 passer rating when targeted. Despite lacking size, he also showed the ability to help out on run defense and a pass rusher, illustrated by his 3.0 sacks and eight tackles for loss. That gives him a well-rounded profile - particularly for a corner - that will benefit him in IDP leagues. There is no question as to his role as a foundational piece of the Seattle defense, and he should continue to pair very well with Riq Woolen as the two outside corners. Read Past Outlooks
Notches first sack of 2024
Witherspoon recorded six solo tackles, including 1.0 sacks, among his three tackles for loss, in Thursday's 6-3 win over the Bears.
ANALYSIS
Witherspoon's physicality was on display in the close conference win, and he notched his first sack since Week 11 of last season. The 2023 first-round pick has now produced 90 tackles (62 solo), including 1.0 sacks, and seven pass breakups through 16 games, proving to be an effective fantasy option as the Seahawks' starting slot cornerback.

2023 Fantasy Outlook
The Seahawks almost never take cornerbacks this high, but Witherspoon is an elite prospect that warranted the No. 5 overall pick in the 2023 Draft. He's not a big corner, lining up at 6-0, 180 pounds, but he was widely considered one of the top cover corners in the nation last year, registering 14 pass breakups and three picks as a senior. The Illinois product should slot in as an immediate starter opposite Tariq Woolen to create a young duo that could quickly become one of the best in the league.

Latest Fantasy Rumors
Could benefit from scheme shift
Witherspoon could be Seattle's most valuable non-quarterback in 2024, per Mike Sando of The Athletic.
ANALYSIS
Witherspoon is coming off a strong rookie season in which the fifth overall pick in the 2023 NFL Draft posted three sacks among his 79 tackles while adding 16 passes defensed. The nickel cornerback offers a rare mix of coverage skills and physicality. The latter trait allows Witherspoon to excel as a blitzer out of the slot, and Sando anticipates that Witherspoon will get a chance to go after the quarterback more frequently in defensive coordinator Aden Durde's scheme than he did under Clint Hurtt in 2023.
