Mops up in blowout loss
Thompson-Robinson failed to complete his lone pass attempt in Sunday's 35-14 loss to New Orleans.
ANALYSIS
Thompson-Robinson entered the game for Cleveland's final drive, which was a three-and-out with an incomplete pass and two runs. Starter Jameis Winston threw for 395 yards and woke up a dormant passing offense for the second time in three weeks. Winston should be secure as the Browns' starter for now, but the organization may want to get a longer look at Thompson-Robinson once the team is officially eliminated from playoff contention.

2023 Fantasy Outlook
The Browns selected Thompson-Robinson in the fifth round of the 2023 draft. A five-year starter at UCLA, Thompson-Robinson is familiar with the pro-style offense that was run by Bruins coach Chip Kelly. Like Deshaun Watson and Josh Dobbs ahead of him, the rookie is a dual-threat quarterback. The Browns weren't necessarily looking QB in the draft, but he checked the appropriate boxes -- mobility, accuracy -- and they view Thompson-Robinson as a potentially long-term fit as a backup.

Latest Fantasy Rumors
Not starting Week 8
Thompson-Robinson won't be available in anything more than a backup capacity while Jameis Winston starts Sunday's game against the Ravens, Daniel Oyefusi of ESPN.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Thompson-Robinson was the No. 2 quarterback during the Week 7 loss to the Bengals in which Deshaun Watson suffered a season-ending Achilles injury. However, the second-year signal-caller would go on to exit the game himself with a finger injury, which brought Winston into the contest as the emergency quarterback. While head coach Kevin Stefanski confirmed Wednesday that Thompson-Robinson won't need surgery and is expected to practice this week, he also announced the much more experienced Winston would draw the start for at least this weekend.
