2024 Fantasy Outlook
Moreau caught 21 of 25 targets for 193 yards and one score over 15 games in 2023, marking his fourth time in five seasons that he caught at least 21 passes. The 27-year-old played nearly as many offensive snaps as Juwan Johnson, as the latter missed four contests with injury. Yet the majority of scoring opportunities went to Johnson and Jimmy Graham, who combined for eight touchdowns. Graham re-retired following last season, which once again leaves Moreau as the clear No. 2 option for in-line tight ends behind Johnson, though gadget player Taysom Hill should steal some targets at the position. Has touchdown wiped away in win
Moreau logged zero targets during Sunday's 44-19 victory over the Cowboys.
ANALYSIS
Moreau once again started Sunday after suffering a concussion during last week's win against the Panthers. The 27-year-old didn't get any looks during a clinical performance for quarterback Derek Carr, who went 11-for-16 passing for 243 yards and two touchdowns to one interception. However, Moreau would have recorded a 26-yard touchdown catch early in the third quarter, but the play was nullified by an ineligible downfield player penalty, thus setting up running back Alvin Kamara for his fourth and final touchdown rush later in the drive. Moreau still appeared to play as much or more than Juwan Johnson, who also finished without a target Sunday. It will be worth monitoring if either Moreau or Johnson see any sort of meaningful target share during next Sunday's contest versus Philadelphia.

Moreau looked like one of the best available tight ends entering free agency, as he logged 63 catches for 793 yards and five touchdowns across the past two seasons in Las Vegas. His football career was then put on hold in March when the 26-year-old was diagnosed with Hodgkin's lymphoma. However, he reportedly received a positive health prognosis later on and was able to run routes and catch passes at the start of OTAs after signing a three-year, $12.2 million contract with the Saints in May. Following the team's trade of backup TE Adam Trautman, Moreau should help fill the void behind No. 1 option Juwan Johnson.sa

Latest Fantasy Rumors
Could open '24 as top tight end
Moreau could be in position to open the 2024 season as the Saints' top tight end with Juwan Johnson sidelined indefinitely due to foot surgery, per Katherine Terrell and Adam Schefter of ESPN.
ANALYSIS
Moreau posted a 21-193-1 line across 15 games in a complementary role during his first Saints campaign in 2023, a year he entered off back-to-back 30+ catch seasons with the Raiders. The sixth-year pro could therefore qualify as a serviceable fill-in for Johnson during a short-term period if it's required, although he'd likely be sharing snaps with the likes of the versatile Taysom Hill, among others, if Johnson's absence did indeed linger into the regular season.
