2024 Fantasy Outlook
The 38-year-old Johnson, who entered the league in 2008, is back with the Ravens this year after serving as the third-string QB last year. Tyler Huntley left for Cleveland, so No. 2 job to Lamar Jackson should fall to Johnson this season. Johnson is the definition of journeyman, and if he has to relieve Jackson won’t blow the doors off defenses. He’s a game manager who likely will hand off a lot to new Ravens running back Derrick Henry. Wide receiver Zay Flowers and tight end Mark Andrews are top-notch targets, so perhaps Johnson’s passing numbers will be serviceable if pressed into action. He’ll need that because he’s not as mobile as he once was and likely won’t contribute much on the ground. Read Past Outlooks

Enters for final possession
Johnson played three of the Ravens' 59 snaps on offense in Monday's 41-31 win over the Buccaneers.
ANALYSIS
Johnson entered the game after the two-minute warning for the Ravens' final possession of the night, handing the ball off to Justice Hill three times before Baltimore punted. The 38-year-old's snaps will continue to be limited to late-game garbage-time scenarios while reigning MVP Lamar Jackson is healthy.

Johnson is back with the Ravens for the second time in three years after spending 2022 in San Francisco. The veteran journeyman adds experienced depth in the quarterback room and creates added competition for second-year quarterback, Anthony Brown, to vie for the No.3 QB spot on the roster. Tyler Huntley appears firmly entrenched as Lamar Jackson's backup, however.

Latest Fantasy Rumors
Getting chance to lead first unit
Johnson has been leading the Ravens' first-team offense during the majority of OTAs due to the absence of Lamar Jackson, Jamison Hensley of ESPN.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Head coach John Harbaugh emphasized he had no concerns about Jackson's decision to not attend four of the Ravens' first five OTAs, and there certainly aren't any contractual issues at play after the reigning NFL MVP signed a massive $260 million extension last offseason. Meanwhile, the absence does give Johnson a chance he wouldn't otherwise have to get first-team reps, certainly a benefit considering the 38-year-old last threw a regular-season pass in 2022. He is the only veteran safety net behind Jackson on the depth chart.
