2024 Fantasy Outlook
Whyle didn’t make much of an impact as a rookie, catching nine of 15 targets for 94 yards and one touchdown in 11 games before going on injured reserve due to a knee injury. Tennessee’s 2023 fifth-round draft pick projects to work as the top backup to Chigoziem Okonkwo in 2024. Whyle’s 6-foot-7, 248-pound frame makes him an effective blocker, and his four-inch height advantage over Okonkwo could help Whyle earn some goal-line looks. Whyle was an effective red-zone target in college, scoring 15 touchdowns over his last three years at Cincinnati. Read Past Outlooks
Stuck in limited role
Whyle was not targeted in Sunday's 24-17 loss to the Bears.
ANALYSIS
Whyle got moderate hype during training camp as he attempted to unseat Chigoziem Okonkwo as the top tight end in Tennessee. His usage in Week 1 made clear that didn't occur, as he saw only 18 offensive snaps (28 percent) while Nick Vannett earned 16. Whyle remains primarily a special-teams contributor.

2023 Fantasy Outlook
Whyle joined Alec Pierce and Tre Tucker as University of Cincinnati pass catchers to be drafted in the last two years. He topped 300 receiving yards in each of his final three seasons with the Bearcats and used his 6-7, 248-pound frame to serve as a red-zone threat. He should immediately see the field thanks to Tennessee's propensity to play in two tight-end sets and will form an athletic pairing with Chigoziem Okonkwo. It may take some time, but Whyle is an intriguing name to keep in mind in deeper dynasty and tight-end premium league formats.

Could get on field early
Whyle could be on the field for two tight end sets with the Titans to begin the season, Chad Reuter of NFL.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Whyle was selected in the fifth round of the 2023 Draft by the Titans. It was a good landing spot, as the team often uses multiple tight ends thanks to its run-heavy offensive philosophy. Chigoziem Okonkwo will serve as the top player at the position, though Whyle displayed athleticism throughout the draft process and could be immediately impactful for the offense.
