Kieft has served as a prototypical, throwback blocking tight end over his first two seasons, and he recorded all of one reception for a two-yard touchdown on five targets across 16 regular-season games in 2023. Although new coordinator Liam Coen's scheme is expected to utilize two-tight-end sets regularly, Kieft is expected to remain a distant third pass-catching option at his position as long as Cade Otton and Payne Durham are healthy. Kieft wasn't even deployed as a blocker as much as he typically was in former coordinator Dave Canales' offense, with all but two of his 18 total snaps Sunday coming on special teams. Even if he does end up seeing an uptick in playing time on offense in coming weeks, Kieft is expected to remain a distant third pass-catching option at tight end behind Cade Otton and Payne Durham.

2023 Fantasy Outlook
Kieft proved as good as advertised as a blocker after his sixth-round selection in 2022, with the University of Minnesota product often operating as an extra offensive lineman during his 256 snaps from scrimmage. Kieft also recorded seven receptions for 80 yards and a touchdown over 17 games, and he projects to once again operate primarily in a blocking role during the coming season while Cade Otton profiles as the top pass-catching tight end.
