2024 Fantasy Outlook
Paye solidified himself as one of the Colts' more exceptional defensive players in 2023, setting a new career-best sack threshold. He recorded career highs across the board, with 52 combined tackles, including 8.5 sacks. He also forced and recovered two fumbles. The 2021 first-round pick could be a candidate to reach double-digit sacks with another year in defensive coordinator Gus Bradley's scheme, as Indianapolis' defense as a whole ranked fifth in the NFL with 51 sacks in 2023. Paye continued to improve in his second season as he posted six sacks and 45 tackles in 12 games. After playing a reserve role as a rookie, Paye moved into the starting lineup in 2022, but injured his ankle in Week 5, missing five of the next seven games. He then played his final four games on an ankle that wasn't at full strength. Now that he's set to reprise his starting role at defensive, he could produce double-digit sacks with better health.

Latest Fantasy Rumors
Aiming for double-digit sack total
Paye is aiming to reach double digits at a minimum in sacks in 2024, with a goal of 12-to-15, Grant Gordon of NFL.com reports. "I had 4.0 sacks as a rookie, 6.0 as a sophomore, and now 8.5 in my third season," Paye said. "I definitely want to get at least 10.5 sacks this year. I'm really shooting for 12-to-15 sacks, but double digits is the goal at the end of the day."
ANALYSIS
Paye is looking to continue his trend of growing production, and after improving his regular-season sack total by 2.5 in 2023 compared to the previous year, he needs to tack on another 1.5 sacks to reach double digits. If Paye can post 10.0 or more sacks in 2024, he would be in strong position to earn a lucrative multi-year extension with the Colts, who picked up the fifth-year option on Paye's rookie contract for 2025 in May.
