2024 Fantasy Outlook
Rudolph started the final four games, including playoffs, last season and was better than decent for the Steelers. In Weeks 16-18, he was second in the league in both completion percentage (74.6) and YPA (10.1) before falling to the Bills in the wild-card playoffs and finishing with a 5/1 TD/INT. The Steelers re-made their QB room this offseason, though, and Rudolph signed a one-year deal with the Titans where he will compete with Malik Willis to back up Will Levis. Rudolph is big and strong (6-5, 235) but doesn’t have the arm power nor the speed of Willis. If he wins the backup job and finds his way to snaps, he at least will have a good receiving corps to target in Calvin Ridley, DeAndre Hopkins and Tyler Boyd. Read Past Outlooks
RANKS
Becomes lock for No. 2 gig
Rudolph looks cemented as the Titans' top backup to Will Levis following the team's trade of Malik Willis to the Packers on Monday, Grant Gordon of NFL.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Rudolph inked with Tennessee back in March and has looked consistent throughout training camp and the preseason, and the Titans' coaching staff has clearly seen enough to prefer him over Willis as the No. 2 option behind Levis. Across four starts with the Steelers last season, including one playoff game against Buffalo, Rudolph threw for 945 yards, five touchdowns and one interception. Rudolph doesn't figure to see much action this season, barring an injury to Levis, but if he does have to take the field he should be able to steadily pilot Tennessee's offense.

Rudolph appeared in just seven games between the 2020 and 2021 campaigns, and he was the No. 3 quarterback on the Steelers' depth chart last year behind Kenny Pickett and Mitch Trubisky. Pickett and Trubisky remain with the team ahead of the 2023 season, and although Rudolph rejoined Pittsburgh on a one-year deal in mid-May, it seems unlikely he'll have a fantasy-relevant role.

Latest Fantasy Rumors
Shining with second-team offense
Rudolph has excelled with the second-team offense in training camp and has consistently worked ahead of Malik Willis, Jim Wyatt of the Titans' official site reports. "It's hard to elevate Malik and demote Mason when Mason's played very good football," head coach Brian Callahan said, when asked why Willis hasn't gotten any second-team reps.
ANALYSIS
Rudolph and Willis had been set to battle it out for the backup role behind Will Levis in training camp, but Rudolph has pulled ahead by a wide margin in that competition. The 29-year-old quarterback seems to be building off his strong finish to 2023, when Rudolph won Pittsburgh's last three regular-season games and started in the Steelers' playoff loss to Buffalo.
