2024 Fantasy Outlook
Trubisky is back with the Bills after a two-year hiatus in Pittsburgh. After spending 2021 as Josh Allen’s backup, Trubisky left for the Steelers, but he wasn’t good enough to hold off Kenny Pickett nor even Mason Rudolph. His 12-game run in Pittsburgh ended with eight TD passes and 10 interceptions with a 6.6 YPA. The only way he’ll see the field in Buffalo is if Allen is injured, of course. Trubisky has a big arm, but accuracy is not his strong suit. And while he was a running threat his first four years in Chicago, he’s averaged just 2.4 yards per rush the last three years. With Buffalo’s thin receiver room outside of rookie Keon Coleman, Trubisky wouldn’t seem to have much upside in a game-manager role should he take the field. Read Past Outlooks

ANALYSIS
Trubisky was limited due to a knee issue Wednesday, but he's upgraded to full participation in time to play without restrictions Week 1. Barring any setbacks, Trubisky now looks fully on track to operate as the No. 2 quarterback behind Josh Allen during Buffalo's regular-season opener against the Cardinals on Sunday.

Trubisky served as the Steelers' Week 1 starter in 2022 but was replaced by Kenny Pickett during the team's matchup against the Jets in Week 4. Trubisky filled in for Pickett at times down the stretch, but the 2017 first-round pick appeared in just seven games and will serve as a backup to begin the 2023 campaign. Trubisky completed 65 percent of his passes for 1,252 yards, four touchdowns and five interceptions while rushing 19 times for 38 yards and two touchdowns last season and is unlikely to be much of a factor in the first season of his two-year extension with the Steelers, as long as Pickett remains healthy.

Latest Fantasy Rumors
Latches on with Buffalo
Trubisky signed a two-year deal with the Bills on Wednesday and is expected to serve as Josh Allen's primary backup in 2024, Alaina Getzenberg of ESPN reports.
ANALYSIS
Trubisky is a familiar face in Buffalo, having served in the same No. 2 capacity back in 2021. The veteran signal-caller completed only six of eight passes for 43 yards and added 24 rushing yards and a touchdown on 13 carries that season before suiting up for the Steelers the last two years. Getzenberg notes Trubisky's return is the byproduct of the good impression he made during that '21 campaign, though she also notes there will likely be some concern should he be pressed into extended action.
