McKitty was a third-round draft pick in 2021, but he never really saw much opportunity as a pass catcher with the Chargers and concluded last season as a practice squad member of the Bills. For now, McKitty slots in behind Dalton Kincaid, Dawson Knox and Quintin Morris, but if injuries hit the top trio, the 6-4, 246-pounder could carve out a depth role after not drawing any regular-season targets in 2023. The 2021 third-rounder reprised his role as a blocking specialist in 2022, tallying 518 offensive snaps, but just 10 receptions on 18 targets for 72 yards. McKitty is expected to compete with Donald Parham for the Chargers' No. 2 TE role behind Gerald Everett, but either way McKitty figures to make most of his impact this coming season as a blocker, which limits his fantasy upside.
