2024 Fantasy Outlook
Kraft was drafted 78th overall by the Packers in 2023, 36 picks after fellow tight end Luke Musgrave. Kraft spent most of the season backing up Musgrave, but the rookie out of South Dakota State stepped up when Musgrave missed six games down the stretch due to a lacerated kidney, catching 23 of 30 targets for 281 yards and two touchdowns over the six-week span. In 13 other games, including two playoff contests, Kraft had 98 receiving yards and one TD. Both tight ends are likely to play prominent roles in 2024, seemingly limiting one another’s fantasy upside. Neither Kraft nor Musgrave finished top four on the Packers in targets last season, and even their combined total (86) over 1,089 snaps would've ranked only 14th among individual tight ends. Jordan Love has the potential to elevate Green Bay’s passing game, but his targets likely will be spread around between the two tight ends and three or four wide receivers. It doesn't help Kraft's cause that a torn pectoral has him on the sideline for offseason practices and may even threaten his availability for training camp. Read Past Outlooks
Makes two catches in Week 2
Kraft caught both of his targets for 16 yards during Sunday's 16-10 win against the Colts.
ANALYSIS
The Packers went run-heavy with Malik Willis and not Jordan Love (knee) under center, rushing 53 times while Willis recorded just 14 passes. The results were meager receiving lines across the board aside from WRs Romeo Doubs (3-62-0 on three targets) and Dontayvion Wicks (3-26-1 on four targets), though Kraft again outproduced fellow second-year TE Luke Musgrave (1-6-0 on one target). Kraft and Musgrave both were in the starting lineup for a second game in a row to begin the season, but the former seemingly has the upper hand in terms of receiving potential -- albeit how little either player may have with Willis leading Green Bay's offense -- heading into a Week 3 road matchup with the Titans next Sunday.

RW's Jerry Donabedian has high hopes for key players from the Giants-Commanders game, figuring that poor defensive play combined with large workloads will lead to strong fantasy scores.
Keon Coleman didn't put up a huge stat line, but his future looks promising after he led the Bills in routes and targets during his NFL debut. Jerry Donabedian provides the full breakdown on WRs and TEs.
2023 Fantasy Outlook
The Packers selected tight end Luke Musgrave in the second round of this year's draft, but they didn't wait long to snap up another, taking Kraft one round later. Having played collegiately at South Dakota State - an FCS school - Kraft has questions about his ability to produce at the top level. However, he has the athleticism to do so. He could get an opportunity fairly quickly, as the most proven TE on Green Bay's roster is Josiah Deguara, and Kraft is on par with Musgrave when it comes to experience.

Starting tenure off to good start
Kraft recorded a touchdown reception in the Packers' Thanksgiving Day win over the Lions, his first game in a starting role that could persist the rest of the season.
ANALYSIS
Rob Demovksy of ESPN.com reports that Luke Musgrave, who Kraft filled in for on Thursday, is not guaranteed to return this season after being placed on injured reserve Wednesday due to a lacerated kidney. As such, Kraft, a fellow member of the 2023 draft class, has a chance to stake a claim to a primary pass-catching role at the tight end position. In his first extended opportunity to do so Thursday, the third-round pick from South Dakota brought in both targets for 15 yards and a touchdown in Green Bay's upset victory over Detroit.
