2024 Fantasy Outlook
Atwell looked like a breakout player after three games last year. During that time, he caught 17 passes for 246 yards and a touchdown. Atwell slowed down after that stretch, largely due to decreased usage in the offense. Then, after the Week 10 bye, the veteran mostly disappeared from the offense. Aside from a game in which Atwell had three catches for 76 yards, the receiver posted a total of 33 yards in the last six games. It should be noted that Atwell was phased out while DeMarcus Robinson took on a major role. Going into his fourth season, Atwell would have enhanced value if coach Sean McVay restored the role Atwell had early in 2023. At this point, that seems unlikely. Read Past Outlooks
RANKS
Leads team in targets
Atwell secured five of eight targets for 37 yards during Sunday's 30-25 loss to the Seahawks.
ANALYSIS
The impending unrestricted free agent's role on offense picked up considerably with Puka Nacua and Cooper Kupp earning the day off, but Atwell wasn't able to do much with his sudden bevy of targets. Taking out a 22-yard catch in the first quarter, Atwell's other four catches combined for just 15 yards, while Jordan Whittington and Demarcus Robinson combined for 158 yards on their six catches. During the 2024 regular season Atwell recorded 42 catches for 562 yards, both career highs, but failed to record a touchdown for the first time since his rookie campaign. Heading into a Wild Card Weekend showdown with the Vikings, Atwell is likely to revert to his minimal role on offense.

2023
2022
2021
The burner from Louisville finally got a chance to showcase his speed last season after failing to record a touch in eight games in 2021. In his final 10 appearances (four starts), Atwell had a 18-298-1 line on 33 targets, including a 62-yard touchdown reception Week 11. He also added nine carries for 34 yards and one more TD. The 2021 second-rounder likely will enter his third year in the NFL as the Rams' primary punt and kick returner with Brandon Powell off to Minnesota, and Atwell should be used as a field-stretching dynamo in the passing game. Durability always is a concern for the 5-9, 165-pound wideout, and feast or famine seems like the outcome Atwell will have in the fall.

Latest Fantasy Rumors
Chance to finish strong
Atwell will have an opportunity to finish the regular season strong against the Seahawks on Sunday due to Puka Nacua and Cooper Kupp resting before the start of the playoffs, Sarah Bishop of ESPN.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Atwell had some bright spots in the first half of the year, including a five-game stretch from Week 2 to 7 when he caught 23 passes on 34 targets for 332 yards. However, he has been stuck as the Rams' No. 4 wideout behind Nacua, Kupp and Demarcus Robinson for the second half of the regular season. Atwell, Robinson and Tyler Higbee will serve as Jimmy Garappolo's top targets for Sunday's regular-season finale due to Nacua, Kupp and Matthew Stafford being sidelined for resting purposes ahead of the postseason.
