Allen's prospect profile out of Wisconsin is incomplete after he declined to run a 40-yard dash ahead of the 2024 Draft, but he was generally a productive player in college and could prove useful in the NFL too. At 6-1, 235, the fourth-round pick relies on size and power rather than speed or agility, and with the Badgers he stomped his way to 1,268 rushing yards as a 17-year-old true freshman. Allen's age could actually be a detriment in the short term -- he won't turn 21 until January -- but fellow Jets running backs Israel Abanikanda and Isaiah Davis both are unproven in their own right. After shaking up their coaching staff, the Jets recommitted to Breece Hall as their clear No. 1 running back, and he finished with 169 scrimmage yards on 23 touches. Allen still notably got a look near the goal line and converted it for a go-ahead four-yard rushing touchdown in the third quarter, only to have the score called back on a holding call away from the play. The rookie running back will look to make the most of his limited opportunities behind Hall in Pittsburgh on Sunday.
