2024 Fantasy Outlook
Jordan has shown flashes of potential as a pass catcher, but the 6-foot-3, 245-pound tight end’s limitations as a blocker have limited his playing time in a Houston tight end room that got even deeper in the offseason. Dalton Schultz is the team’s top pass catcher at the position, and blocking specialist Teagan Quitoriano was seeing more snaps than Jordan in 2023 prior to Quitoriano’s season-ending groin injury. Houston added further competition at tight end by selecting C.J. Stroud’s former Ohio State teammate, Cade Stover, in the fourth round of the 2024 NFL Draft. Jordan had 99 yards across the two games that Schultz missed last season and added a 76-yard touchdown in the postseason, but it will likely take another injury to Schultz in order for Jordan to play enough to make a difference. Inks one-year deal with Houston
The Texans and Jordan (knee) agreed to terms Thursday on a one-year contract extension, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports.
ANALYSIS
Jordan, who suffered a season-ending ACL tear in Week 2, looked on pace for a career-high snap share had he not gone down to injury. He played roughly 50 percent of offensive snaps behind top tight end Dalton Schultz in Week 1, his only full appearance of the 2024 season, where Jordan mostly contributed as a key blocker. Houston's decision to re-sign Jordan, a 2021 fifth-round pick, provides the team with some reliable depth for the 2025 campaign.

2021
Jordan had a disappointing second season after a strong finish to his rookie year. An early injury and subpar QB play contributed to the drop-off, but there was also a three-game stretch as a healthy scratch. The last two seasons in Houston were not ideal for a young pass-catching tight end, so as the organization turns the corner with a new coaching staff and signal-caller, Jordan could bounce back in 2023. Assuming he's past the knee injury he suffered in the final game of 2022, Jordan will compete with Teagan Quitoriano for snaps behind Dalton Schultz, who comes over from Dallas after scoring 17 touchdowns the last three seasons.

Latest Fantasy Rumors
Could play more if Schultz sits
Jordan could be in line for a larger role Sunday against the Bears, as Dalton Schultz missed practice Wednesday and Thursday due to an ankle injury, per Aaron Wilson of KPRC 2 Houston.
ANALYSIS
Schultz is in danger of sitting out against a Chicago defense that allowed a touchdown to Titans tight end Chigoziem Okonkwo in Week 1. Rookie Cade Stover could also compete for snaps, but Jordan performed well in Schultz's two-game absence last season, catching six of eight targets for 99 yards over that span.
