2024 Fantasy Outlook
Belton's opportunities to play have been sporadic over his first two NFL campaigns, but he has a chance to move into a starting role in 2024 with Xavier McKinney off to Green Bay. Rookie second-round pick Tyler Nubin represents Belton's stiffest competition for the assignment, and the outcome may not be decided until close to Week 1 of the regular season. Belton hasn't been the surest tackler thus far as a pro, but he's shown good ballhawking ability with four pickoffs despite logging well under half of New York's defensive snaps. Read Past Outlooks

Ready for Week 1
SNew York Giants
September 6, 2024
Belton (back) has no injury designation ahead of Sunday's Week 1 contest against the Vikings, Jordan Raanan of ESPN.com reports.
ANALYSIS
The third-year safety out of Iowa was limited earlier in the week with a back injury, but it now appears he's moved past the issue. Belton is expected to line up as New York's top strong safety in 2024 after posting 33 total tackles, including 1.0 sack, and two interceptions across 17 regular-season games last season.

2023 Fantasy Outlook
Belton got an opportunity to start as a rookie when Xavier McKinney broke his hand during the Giants' bye week, but he struggled in two games before being replaced by Jason Pinnock. Belton ended the campaign with 31 tackles, three pass defenses and two interceptions, with his playing time dwindling after Week 12. Julian Love's exit should prompt a training-camp battle between Belton, Pinnock and newcomer Bobby McCain for a starting safety spot, though New York could opt to take a committee approach.

Could make early impact
SNew York Giants
May 19, 2022
Belton is identified as a late-round pick that could make a solid impact as a rookie by Chad Reuter of NFL.com.
ANALYSIS
The safety out of Iowa could be in a good position to step in early on and see a fair share of playing time, considering Jabrill Peppers is now in New England. The Giants do have Julian Love, who's logged 16 starts in the last three seasons, on the roster, but Belton brings an impressive college resume that includes plenty of experience in the slot and a five-interception tally in 2021.
