2024 Fantasy Outlook
The Giants filled a significant need when they drafted Nubin in the second round of the 2024 NFL Draft following the departure of Xavier McKinney to Green Bay. Nubin was arguably the top safety in the draft following an excellent college career at Minnesota in which he racked up 13 interceptions over 48 games. He should have an opportunity to earn a starting spot in training camp, with his primary competition being third-year safety Dane Belton and veteran free-agent acquisition Jalen Mills. ANALYSIS
Nubin got the start at strong safety for New York and played all 55 of the team's defensive snaps. Meanwhile, Dane Belton -- who had at one point appeared to have won the starting role at the position -- played just nine defensive snaps, though it's not clear if the back injury that bothered him throughout the practice week contributed to his limited usage. Regardless, Nubin performed well in his first NFL game and appears set to be a key part of the team's defensive backfield moving forward.
