2024 Fantasy Outlook
Dexter finished the 2023 season playing 17 games, leading to 22 tackles and 2.5 sacks on 410 snaps. Dexter played between 42 and 50 percent of the snaps in 11 games. With one or fewer tackles in 13 games, he had very low production as an IDP. With two years remaining on his rookie contract, Dexter will likely see a similar role, since he plays a position that typically results in players frequently rotating in and out. Read Past Outlooks
Limited participant Friday
Dexter (knee) was a limited participant in Friday's practice and is questionable for this weekend's matchup against Detroit.
ANALYSIS
Dexter logged DNPs on Wednesday and Thursday, so this limited practice does show he's moving in the right direction. The starting defensive tackle's status, though, will likely now be decided on Sunday morning before the Bears kick off against the Lions.

2023 Fantasy Outlook
After having one of the weaker defensive lines in the league, the Bears made a concerted effort to address it. In addition to numerous free agent signings, Chicago used a second-round draft pick to add Dexter to the interior defensive line. As a 310-pound player, he recorded over 50 tackles in each of his last two collegiate seasons. He also showed excellent speed for his size at the NFL Combine with a 4.88 40-yard dash. He could compete for playing time with last year's starter, Justin Jones. Even if Dexter takes over the starting role, expect the team to use him in a rotation with Jones to keep both players fresh during games.
