Rest-of-Season Projections
2024 Fantasy Outlook
Dean had what could be described as a middling campaign in 2023, producing 61 tackles but also allowing a career-high 119.4 quarterback rating, 61.2 percent completion rate and 9.4 yards per attempt, along with four touchdowns. The 2019 third-round pick also failed to record an interception for the first time in his five pro seasons, supporting the argument that Dean regressed to an extent last season. Whether that's an outlier should reveal itself fairly quickly, as Dean's experience will be counted on even more this year with Carlton Davis now in Detroit. Read Past Outlooks

Dealing with knee injury
Dean (knee) was a limited participant in Wednesday's practice, Jenna Laine of ESPN.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Dean was added to the Bucs' injury report Wednesday, and he'll have two more chances of increasing his practice participation leading up to Sunday's game against the Broncos. The 2019 third-round pick tied a career high with 10 combined tackles in Tampa Bay's Week 2 win over Detroit.

Past Fantasy Outlooks
2023
2022
2021
Dean was an integral part of a Buccaneers defense that finished with the ninth-fewest passing yards per game allowed in 2022 (208.8). He recorded the second-most tackles of his career (57), equaled his career best with two interceptions and gave up just a 45.0 completion percentage in primary coverage. Dean also has at least eight pass breakups in three of his first four seasons, and the 53.5 QBR he surrendered a season ago was the second lowest of his career. With 57 games of experience and a reputation for durability, Dean could make for a solid IDP option in 2023.

Should be highly coveted free agent
Dean is designated by Field Yates of ESPN.com as a pending free agent that should draw plenty of interest.
ANALYSIS
Dean is considered the best cover cornerback available in this year's free-agent class after recording seven interceptions and breaking up 41 passes overall across 57 games over the last four seasons in Tampa Bay. Dean allowed a completion percentage of 54.1 percent or lower in primary coverage during that span as well, and the combination of his 6-foot-1 frame and the fact he's 26 years old only adds to his appeal.
