2024 Fantasy Outlook
The 10th-year NFL veteran inked a one-year deal to return to Carolina in March and he's now in line to be the team's starting slot corner in 2024. Hill will look to improve on his 2023 campaign, which featured 48 total tackles and six passes defended, including one interception, across 16 regular-season games (and just three starts). RANKS
Let go by Carolina
The Panthers released Hill on Friday, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports.
ANALYSIS
Hill had started all six of the Panthers' games this season, recording 32 total tackles and one pass defended. Carolina will move on from Hill to play younger players in the secondary, as the fact the Panthers' defense already ranks last in the NFL in points per game allowed (33.8) corroborates his veteran presence didn't make much of a difference. Expect Hill to be a hot name on the free-agent market, as the veteran corner can help a team win now. Chau Smith-Wade is likely Hill's replacement at slot corner in Carolina.

Justin Jefferson will almost certainly have a big game Sunday, and the Colts pass defense is weak enough for Jordan Addison to get rolling in the same game.
With Tua Tagovailoa back in the lineup Jaylen Waddle should get rolling against Arizona, and the same is true of Tyreek Hill if he plays through his foot injury.
Drake London's breakout should continue against a Seattle secondary that might be without its two starting boundary corners.

The veteran corner was traded back to the Rams a little more than a year after signing a two-year, $9 million contract with the Browns during the 2021 offseason. He again will slot in as a starting corner opposite Jalen Ramsey. Hill didn't light up the stat sheet in his one season with the Browns and lost the last four games of the season due to a knee injury, but he'll try and recreate the magic of 2020's 77-tackle, three-interception campaign in his return to Los Angeles.

Latest Fantasy Rumors
Back in L.A. after one-year absence
Hill has returned to the Rams after a year in Cleveland, having been traded to Los Angeles for a 2023 fifth-round pick Saturday, Jake Trotter of ESPN.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Hill's Browns tenure ended up lasting all of 12 games, four which he started, a span in which he recorded a solid 49 tackles, a career-high two sacks and seven tackles for loss overall. The 30-year-old was deemed expendable after Cleveland invested a third-round pick in Mississippi State cornerback Martin Emerson on Friday, and Hill's departure could also set the stage for 2021 first-round selection Greg Newsome to take over Hill's former nickelback duties.
