2024 Fantasy Outlook
Most draft analysts expected Wright to go sooner than the fourth round this spring, and the combination of a crowded Miami backfield and disappointing draft capital doesn't exactly hint at big-time production Year 1. On the other hand, Raheem Mostert has shown that a running back with Wright's approximate height/weight/speed dimensions can post big numbers in the Mike McDaniel offense. Wright ran a 4.38 40 at 5-11, 210, confirming that he has speed to turn the corner and split safeties in the NFL, after he frequently did so at Tennessee. He averaged 6.0 yards on 146 carries in 2022 and then 7.4 YPC across 137 carries his final season, providing first-rate efficiency on medium-sized workloads in a spread offense. Wright probably isn't much of a power runner and caught only 30 passes in three collegiate seasons, but if Mostert or De'Von Achane misses any time the rookie should offer timely firepower as a rushing specialist. RANKS
Active versus Bills
Wright is active for Thursday night's game against the Bills, Marcel Louis-Jacques of ESPN.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Wright was a healthy scratch Week 1, but he'll enter Miami's backfield mix Thursday with Raheem Mostert (chest) inactive. Meanwhile, De'Von Achane (ankle), who had been listed as questionable, is active and figures to see his share of touches in the absence of any setbacks, with Jeff Wilson also a candidate to see increased work versus Buffalo. With that in mind, it remains to be seen how many touches Wright will handle in his NFL regular-season debut, but the speedy fourth-round rookie does possess intriguing playmaking upside in Miami's offense.

Latest Fantasy Rumors
RB injuries may pave way for debut
Wright could be in line to make his NFL debut Thursday against the Bills, per Chris Brown of the Bills Radio Network, as Raheem Mostert has been ruled out due to a chest injury and De'Von Achane is questionable due to an ankle injury.
ANALYSIS
Wright was a healthy inactive in Week 1 against the Jaguars, but the 2024 fourth-round draft pick could join Miami's backfield mix Thursday. Jeff Wilson's also poised to play a bigger role as the Dolphins will be without at least one of their top two running backs, if not both. Wright is faster than Wilson, as he's more in the mold of Achane and Mostert with 4.38 speed.
