2024 Fantasy Outlook
The Jaguars keep talking about how they want to limit Travis Etienne's workload, and last year the front office backed it up by using a third-round pick on Bigsby, who then scored two goal-line TDs within the first three weeks but didn't have much luck gaining yards otherwise. A pair of lost fumbles in the first half of the season didn't help the rookie's cause, and he ultimately had just three games all year with more than three carries. Bigsby averaged 2.6 YPC on his 50 carries -- even worse than Etienne's 3.8 average behind a struggling offensive line -- and caught one pass for four yards on six targets. The Jaguars are again openly discussing their desire to limit wear and tear on Etienne, but Bigsby's poor rookie season means he'll likely have to compete for backup roles with D'Ernest Johnson and fifth-round pick Keilan Robinson. No touches Week 2
Bigsby (shoulder) returned to Sunday's loss against Cleveland but didn't play any offensive snaps.
ANALYSIS
Bigsby suffered a shoulder injury during the second quarter on a kickoff return, and he was able to return to the contest during the second half. The 2023 third-round pick didn't play any offensive snaps in the game, as D'Ernest Johnson carried five times for 26 yards behind starting running back Travis Etienne. Bigsby had a promising season opener with 12 carries for 73 yards, but his involvement Week 2 left a lot to be desired. Even though he returned to the field, the shoulder injury may have affected Bigsby's role versus the Browns, so he still should be considered Jacksonville's No. 2 running back for now.

2023 Fantasy Outlook
A third-round pick in this year's draft, Bigsby is an upright runner with a poor anchor at 6-0, 210, but he perhaps can offset that concern with above-average burst (4.56 40, 1.54 10-yard split) and creativity as a runner. He was a good but not great starter at Auburn the last three years, totaling 2,903 yards and 25 touchdowns on 540 carries (5.4 YPC) in 35 games. Bigsby's unremarkable production indicates average skill as a runner, and his combine testing confirmed he is only an average athlete, so for him to emerge as a fantasy standout likely will require favorable circumstances. On the other hand, Travis Etienne can only take so much work and the incumbent Jacksonville backups aren't special, so Bigsby doesn't need to do much to emerge as the No. 2. Free-agent acquisition D'Ernest Johnson is the main obstacle, and he got less than $1 million guaranteed on a one-year contract.

Latest Fantasy Rumors
Has faith from HC Pederson
Head coach Doug Pederson relayed his confidence that Bigsby can rebound from a disappointing rookie season, noting back in May that the running back "has done a great job" during spring workouts, Michael DiRocco of ESPN.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Bigsby was selected by the Jaguars in the third round of the 2023 NFL Draft to provide relief for Travis Etienne in the backfield. Bigsby struggled in his rookie year, however, finishing with 132 rushing yards and two touchdowns on 50 carries while playing just 134 offensive snaps across 17 regular-season games. Bigsby will have to fight off D'Ernest Johnson and rookie fifth-round pick Keilan Robinson for the No. 2 role, but Pederson appears confident that the Auburn product will bounce back in his sophomore year given his performance during OTAs and minicamp.
