Swiatek has accepted a one-month suspension after testing positive for a banned substance, freelance tennis writer Michal Samulski reports.

ANALYSIS
Samulski's information is confirmed by The International Tennis Integrity Agency (ITA), which announced that Swiatek tested positive for trimetazidine (TMZ) via an out-of-competition sample back in August. In a later post, Samulski says the ITA confirmed the violation was not intentional but rather caused by contamination of a regulated non-prescription medication in melatonin, which Swiatek took to regulate sleep and jetlag. According to Jose Morgado of the Lisbon Diario Record, Swiatek will play in the 2025 Australian Open in January, though the 23-year-old's availability before then is still a little murky.
