2024 Fantasy Outlook
Jennings is a talented player, but he is often used as a blocking receiver. The veteran was targeted fewer than three times per game. In addition, Jennings rarely played 30 snaps in a game. As long as the 49ers are a run-heavy team, Jennings may not have much of a role in the passing attack. Also, the 49ers used a first-round pick on slot receiver Ricky Pearsall, so Jennings is unlikely to produce useful fantasy numbers with consistency. Should either of the top-two receivers miss time for the 49ers, Jennings could see increased volume, which would raise his fantasy value. Read Past Outlooks
RANKS
Cleared for Week 2
Jennings (ankle) doesn't have an injury designation for Sunday's game at Minnesota, Tom Pelissero of NFL Network reports.
ANALYSIS
Jennings was listed with an ankle injury ahead of Week 1 and even made a brief exit from Monday's win over the Jets, but it didn't stop him from catching each of his five targets for a team-high 64 receiving yards. He played 47 percent of San Francisco's snaps on offense and ran a route on 56 percent of the pass plays, filling his usual role as the No. 3 receiver behind Deebo Samuel and Brandon Aiyuk. It is possible Jennings benefits from a few extra snaps here and there if Samuel continues to get some work as a running back while Christian McCaffrey (Achilles) is out.

2020
Jennings fortified his hold on the 49ers' slot receiver role in his third year as a pro last season. The 25-year-old was unable to build on the five touchdowns he tallied in 2021, finishing with just one score to go with his 35 receptions and 416 yards. If Jennings and his 6-3 frame can improve in the red zone this year, he would see a boost to his current fantasy value. The 2020 seventh-round pick doesn't have the athleticism of fellow wideouts Deebo Samuel or Brandon Aiyuk, but Jennings will provide strong run blocking and sure hands for San Francisco in the fall.

Latest Fantasy Rumors
Bigger role for Week 1?
Jennings could see a larger workload on offense during Monday's game against the Jets due to Brandon Aiyuk operating on a reduced snap count, Nick Wagoner of ESPN.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Head coach Kyle Shanahan said Saturday that Aiyuk will play less than usual Monday after the star wide receiver held out of practices during training camp while seeking a contract extension. That could open the door for Jennings to pick up additional snaps on offense, and he is good to go for Monday's contest after battling through an ankle injury during practice earlier in the week. The 2020 seventh-round pick played in 13 regular-season games for the 49ers last season, finishing with 19 catches on 33 targets for 265 yards and one touchdown.
