Kylen Granson

26-Year-Old Tight EndTE
Indianapolis Colts
2024 Fantasy Outlook
Granson was the most productive member of a crowded Colts tight end room last season, posting 30 catches for 368 yards and one touchdown on 50 targets. Indianapolis had three other tight ends total between 147 and 207 yards. All of those options remain with the team, plus Jelani Woods – who led all Colts TEs with 312 receiving yards in 2022 – is expected to return to the field after missing all of 2023 due to a hamstring injury. Granson’s Week 2 touchdown against the Texans last season marks his only trip to the end zone through 45 NFL games, and he isn’t an imposing red-zone target at 6-foot-3. Between his lack of a nose for the end zone and significant competition for playing time, Granson seems unlikely to break out in his fourth NFL season. Read Past Outlooks

Just one reception in loss
TEIndianapolis Colts
September 16, 2024
Granson had one reception for nine yards on two targets in Sunday's 16-10 loss at Green Bay.
ANALYSIS
Granson played the most snaps of Indy's three tight ends (Mo Alie-Cox had 18 snaps and Drew Ogletree had 14 snaps), but the trio amassed just three receptions and four targets for 43 yards after no tight end had a reception Week 1. With the Colts using a more vertical passing attack than last season, none of the team's tight ends may get significant targets.

2022
2021
Granson was at times the top target among the Colts' tight ends last season, but the team split targets and playing time between three tight ends and neither he, Mo Alie-Cox nor Jelani Woods was an impact fantasy option. Granson amassed 31 receptions for 302 yards and no touchdowns on 40 targets over 13 games, missing the final three games due to a concussion. He's seen as an athletic, field-stretching tight end and has shown signs of becoming a top option in the passing game, but he again faces crowded competition for targets with the Colts taking another tight end in the 2023 draft (fifth-rounder Will Mallory).
In his first NFL season, the 2021 fourth-rounder was limited to 11 catches (on 15 targets) for 106 yards in 17 games, but GM Chris Ballard believes that Granson has "big upside" due to his mobility. He's the leading candidate for the Colts' No. 2 tight end role but faces competition after the team took tight ends Jelani Woods in the third round (73rd overall) and Andrew Ogletree in the sixth round (192nd overall) in the 2022 draft.
Granson, who the Colts took in the fourth round of the 2021 NFL Draft, profiles as an athletic, field-stretching tight end. As a rookie, though, he's set to work behind Jack Doyle and Mo Alie-Cox. As a result, immediate fantasy relevance shouldn't be counted on for the 6-2, 242-pounder out of SMU, who's essentially the replacement for fellow undersized tight end Trey Burton.

Latest Fantasy Rumors
Could factor into offense
TEIndianapolis Colts
July 12, 2022
Granson should be given an opportunity to be a contributor at tight end in the Colts' offense this season, Mike Chappell of FOX 59 writes.
ANALYSIS
Granson was selected in the fourth round by the Colts in the 2021 NFL Draft, but he managed only 11 receptions for 106 yards in his rookie season. Jack Doyle has since retired to open up some snaps, though the team also drafted Jelani Woods and Andrew Ogletree this summer to bolster the position. Mo Alie-Cox is almost certain to top the Indianapolis depth chart at tight end, but Granson should still have a chance to make a greater contribution in his second season with less experienced options behind him.
