2024 Fantasy Outlook
Hunt remained unsigned to begin 2023, but when Nick Chubb went down with a season-ending knee injury Week 2, the Browns turned to a familiar face to help fill the massive hole in their backfield. Hunt got a lot of his work in the red zone, scoring nine rushing touchdowns despite averaging just 3.0 yards per carry while Jerome Ford handled a lead role. Hunt is a free agent again this offseason, but Cleveland has added more depth in case Chubb isn't 100 percent, bringing in D'Onta Foreman and Nyheim Hines. It's unclear if Hunt will find a home for his age-29 season, and he'll likely have to compete for a roster spot if/when he does. Read Past Outlooks
RANKS
Struggles with starter returning
Hunt rushed seven times for 15 yards while catching two of four targets for no yards in Friday's 19-17 win over the Raiders.
ANALYSIS
Week 1 starter Isiah Pacheco (ankle) was activated from a 10-week stint on injured reserve to out-gain Hunt by 34 total yards on one less touch Friday. The latter remained involved with an even split in carries in the first game the two backs have played together this year. Hunt figures to maintain a minor role as both a rushing and a receiving option as Pacheco works back from a long layoff, but his value certainly took a hit Week 13. The Chiefs will have a couple of extra days off ahead of next Sunday's home tilt against the Chargers.

Hunt is a free agent after the Browns declined to re-sign him but does not rank especially high on the long list of free-agent running backs after his numbers fell off a cliff in 2022. Although he was only 27 last year, Hunt plodded his way to just 3.8 yards per carry and 4.8 yards per target -- numbers that get running backs benched. Hunt was more productive in 2021, when he scored five rushing touchdowns with much better efficiency (4.9 YPC, 6.4 YPT) in an injury-shortened eight-game season. It might require some injuries around the league for Hunt to get another shot because he doesn't seem to be at the front of the line of discarded backs.

Latest Fantasy Rumors
Likely sharing backfield Friday
Hunt is set to cede snaps and carries to the returning Isiah Pacheco in Friday's Week 13 matchup against the Raiders, Adam Teicher of ESPN.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Pacheco, who's missed the last nine games with a fractured right fibula, was able to practice in full both Tuesday and Wednesday for the first time since having his practice window opened Nov. 12. Head coach Andy Reid confirmed Wednesday that Pacheco would be activated from injured reserve and play Friday barring any last-minute setbacks, meaning Hunt, who's served as the lead back with success most weeks in Pacheco's stead, is likely headed for a complementary role beginning with Friday's divisional clash. However, Hunt could still see a solid workload versus Las Vegas given it will be Pacheco's first game action since mid-September.
